AIamondBot: information for publishers
Who reads your feed, what we do with it, and how to make us stop.
What AIamond is
AIamond reads public news feeds (RSS). For each item, an AI model decides which market the item is about and which way its text points. Later we check whether that market moved that way, and we publish how often each source was right compared with chance.
How we identify ourselves
Every request AIamond makes to a publisher's feed, and to its robots.txt, carries this user agent:
AIamondBot/1.0 (+https://aiamond.com/bot)
The product token to use in robots.txt is AIamondBot. The address in the user agent is this page.
What we read
Only the feed address we have for each source, and the robots.txt of the same host. We do not request article pages; the link we show takes the reader to your own page.
What we show
Next to our own labels (the market and the direction the AI assigned), AIamond shows:
- the name of the source
- the publisher's title
- an extract of the publisher's feed summary: at most 150 characters, cut at a word boundary, ending with [...] when text was left out
- a link to the item on the publisher's website
On the site in another language, the title and the extract can appear in a machine translation.
What we keep
We store the title, the link, the publication time and the full feed summary (HTML markup removed). The AI analysis reads the full summary. It is not shown to visitors or users; only the extract described above is.
How to make us stop
Add a group for our product token to the robots.txt of your host, for example:
User-agent: AIamondBot Disallow: /
Before it reads a feed, AIamond requests the robots.txt of the feed's host (the answer is kept for up to 24 hours) and does not read a feed that a group naming AIamondBot disallows.
If your robots.txt cannot be reached, we use the last answer we have; if we have none, the feed is read.
Or write to us and name the feed or the site: [email protected]
We commit to switching a feed off within one working day of your request.
