# AIamond: "follow the source" simulation — rules v1

Registered: 2026-11-03, before any period under these rules began. Operator: Lennart Schreiber, aiamond.com.
Published unchanged at https://aiamond.com/method/ledger-v1.md; a change is a new file with a new version.

**Simulation with fictional money. Assumed costs 0.1 % per trade. Not a recommendation. Published only after a
period has ended, never live.**

## Question

Could a reader have gained by trading every directional call of a news source, from the first price they could have
traded? This is the tradable question ("could a reader gain by acting?"), not the descriptive hit rate.

## Rules

- Periods: calendar months (UTC, by the article's publication time). The first period is December 2026; months before
it are not reported under these rules. A period is computed and published on the 3rd of the following month.
- Sources: every source whose rights record admits it (as in https://aiamond.com/method/source-record-v1.md).
- Trades: every report of a source with a directional call (tone above +0.25: long; below −0.25: short) and a check
at the 1-day horizon from the first tradable price. One trade per such report, equal fictional amount per trade,
opened at the first tradable price and closed at the end of the 1-day horizon, in the market's symbol.
- Result of a trade: direction × price change − 0.1 % costs. A source's result for the period is the mean result per
trade and the number of trades.
- Random group: the same trades with a random direction (long or short with equal chance), 1,000 draws with fixed
seed 20261201; reported as the mean and the 2.5 % to 97.5 % range of the mean result per trade. A source is
"inside the random range" when its mean lies within it.
- Every source of the period is listed, with its number of trades; none is left out.

## Limits

Prices are daily or hourly bars from a public source, one symbol per market (index ETFs for some markets); no slippage
beyond the fixed cost, no position limits, no compounding. Fictional money only.
